“Urban Sadness” explores the visible clash between humans and their surroundings. This sense of detachment mirrors my own feelings of incompatibility—both with my environment and myself. I once believed a change of scenery could offer a fresh start, but relocation often moves you further from your center. Fifteen years as an immigrant has only deepened this sense of randomness.
